Product engineer

MrFusion is a small fast-moving start-up developing consumer products helping each one of us reduce our carbon footprintOur team of biotech scientists, engineers and consumer obsessed product marketers is developing the first self-powered food digester for the home.

We’re looking for a product engineer.
As a product engineer on the team, you will work closely with our innovation and our product teamsYou will be able to influence engineering from concept to manufacturing for our new line of products.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with our innovation team (biotech & engineering) toward the later stages of our proofs of concept to understand technical requirements
Collaborate with industrial design partner to take our proofs of concept to consumer-centric and manufacturable solutions
Lead prototyping and testing as part of the product development process
Analyze test data, draw conclusions, determine next steps and communicate to internal stakeholders and / or external partnersYou will have a strong voice in assessing risk and recommending the best path to move forward! you will do so in explaining complex information to stakeholders in a simple way.
Manage new product documentation (cad, bom, etc.)
Manage communication with manufacturing partners
Required qualifications
Shared passion for environmental causes, waste, and clean energy!
At least a 4 year degree in mechanical engineering
At least 3 years of experience in consumer goods
At least 3 years of real world experience designing products from concept through production
Exceptional cad skills
Able to design for high volume manufacturing (injection molding, forming, stamping, etc.)
Experience in design for manufacturing and design for assembly
Experience in consumer electronics is highly desirable
