As an integral member of this growing team you’ll be collaborating with product, developers and other stakeholders, with the goal of developing effective automated testing solutions around servicenow, ansible/terraform, internal portals, and api integrationsYou’ll be an important decision maker and help define automated testing practices going forward.
Day to day:
Develop and maintain automated tests for offered services
Take lead on test strategy planning and implementation practices
Learn and adapt testing solutions to changing business demands
Collaborate with team members to scope, and design solutions
Develop a qa strategy, with solutions for unit, regression, and acceptance testing
Collaborate with devops and related engineering teams to design a code integration/test/deployment pipeline
Inform code management, authoring, and quality standards inclusive of branching, and pull request workflows.
Support version upgrades-install, test and validate applications for production readiness.
Offer technical solutions to address complex requirements.
Evaluate alternate solutions, identifying the best options and implementing the ideal solution.
Create helpful comments and documentation to support a sustainable development practice
Analyze, troubleshoot, and remedy identified system issues.
Qualifications/requirements
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related areaIn lieu of bachelor’s degree, extensive familiarity with the field’s concepts, practices and procedures is required.
5+ years of experience working with application technologies (html, css, javascript, python, rest, etc.)
3+ years of testing related development / implementation / administrative experience
Experience developing tests leveraging technologies such as selenium or related technology
Strong grounding in fundamentals of application development (identity, security, etc).
Experience working with structured data, schema, and databases
Experience integrating internal and external (saas based) applications.
Experience with agile and scrum software development approaches
Superior attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to understand complex business needs and adapt appropriately.
Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies
Desired characteristics
