Integrate with an engineering team that delivers new working code daily in an agile development environment
Be an advocate for quality code and quality engineering
Review and manually verify code changes within github pull requests
Collaborate with product, engineers, and qa to develop effective test automation strategies and plans.
Contribute to test automation suitesPush testing strategies forward; build trust in tests
Promote the customer`s perspective in discussions regarding requirements and design of our products
Collaborate with quality and software engineers through analysis, code reviews and pair programming.
Helps teammates overcome obstacles and resolve blockers to complete work.
Helps others to identify opportunities for automation with consideration of roi.
Find and highlight areas of improvement including implementing new tools/processes to remove overly redundant and manual tasks.
Organize, facilitate, and communicate around quality review sessions
Leverage metrics and data to help drive daily decisions
Helps others learn and grow their skills
Qualifications/requirements
2+ years of previous qa experience
Significant knowledge of software qa methodologies, tools, and processes
Has a strong understanding of software engineering test automation including api and ui testsIndependently writes modular, maintainable code.
Significant ability to evaluate system changes by level of risk with a clear understanding of how to mitigate high risk deployments
Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
Effective in a highly collaborative cross functional team environment
Shares and receives feedback in a thoughtful, honest, and respectful way.
Critical thinking with a high level of motivation to continually improve and take on new challenges
Demonstrated capacity to quickly absorb new concepts and technologies
