Responsibilities
This srAnalyst position is part of the decision science team under nbc sports nextThe role will be responsible for supporting the development and maintenance of the inhouse advanced pricing and marketing solutions.
This role will help the team expand our current analytic capability within a dynamic and innovative organization and be critical in developing unique tools that will provide value for both internal and external business partners.
Job duties
Develop queries to pull, integrate and prepare large data sets for analysis and/or to feed existing or newly developed models.
Analyze complex data sets and extract key insights related to different arms of the business
Troubleshoot issues and anomalies from existing models, explain and/or refine models to reduce anomalies.
Establish, monitor, communicate, and apply performance kpis for the revenue management models
Ability to develop, modify or run revenue management and marketing algorithms such as logistic regression, random forests, econometric models, segmentation, cart analysis, k-means, marketing mix modeling and churn models.
Collaborate with data services and operational teams for implementing the finalized models into production.
Create presentations summarizing modeling effort to senior management, internal and external clients.

Bachelor’s degree is required, master’s degree is preferred in operations research, industrial engineering, statistics, mathematics, economics, data science, or a related field
2+ years of experience demonstrating strong data engineering skills; querying, data preparation and aggregation, analyzing large data sets
Ability to review, edit and run r/python code used for modeling and optimization in revenue management and/or advanced marketing analytics
Advanced skills in excel and sql, python and/or r, and/or familiarity in a reporting tool like tableau, etc.
Intellectual curiosity, along with excellent problem-solving and quantitative skills, including the ability to dis aggregate issues, identify root causes and recommend solutions
