Desktop support technician

Your purpose:
To provide technical assistance to our naked team:
•
Troubleshoot and support issues related to computer systems, software, and regularly monitor the internal help desk system for pending tickets
•
Ask questions to determine nature of problem and help walk customer through problem-solving
•
Install, modify, and repair computer hardware
•
Document all incidents and occurrences using clear, concise, and detailed notes
To nail your job you will:
•
Responsible for maintaining technology systems including computers, office networks and all office equipment
•
Experience with supporting windows 10, apple/mac environmentsCustomer is mostly a mac shop
•
Any experience with chrome google support or installation would be great.
•
Experience with standard software applications, including ms office suite (o365), windows domain models (active directory, terminal services, etc).
•
Responsible for procurement, installation and life-cycle maintenance of it hardware and software (mac, windows, chromebook, peripherals, networking equipment, operating systems, cloud technology, and other software.
•
Provides escalated technical support that requires an on-site presence (nas, network or pc equipment failure), including data backup recoveryPerforms software/hardware troubleshooting, patches and re-installations.
•
Serves as the it desktop point of contact and accountable for the it desktop portion of new office setups, office expansions, etcThis includes relocation and/or installation of voice/data communications solutions, lan and pc equipment.

Have a proven ability to support large it desktop projects, including the implementation of it desktop infrastructure across various technologies required.

Have strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
•
Are experienced with or have knowledge of programming languages and operating systems (active directory, and mac & windows-based systems), current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, and system performance monitoring required.

Can manage multiple projects at once
•
Think strategically, are data-driven and detail-oriented
•
Are smart but humble
•
Have demonstrable experience of doing this before
Requirements
•
At least 2-5 years of professional experience working in it operations required.
•
Equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.
•
Must be eligible on your own to work in the us to qualifyAn employer sponsored work visa is not currently available for this role.

Remote work is availableMust be able to commute to our napa, ca office once we reopen fully
Compensation & benefits (required in co)
•
$24.50-$33/hourly (depending on experience)
•
Annual bonus (discretionary)
