National power llc has an immediate need for a level 1 dc installer in our winston-salem/greensboro market(s)Under the general direction of and reporting to the account manager, the level i dc installer will be responsible for assisting the level iv lead installer working on dc power equipment, addition and removal of circuits on non-powered passive equipment and hardwareDue to the potential safety risks, service disruption, and business security for the network, any successful candidate will be required to complete a 90 day probationary period to demonstrate skill level completion of essential job functions for continued employment.
Essential duties and responsibilities

Generate revenue by working with the lead installer to execute sales transactions which address and provide product / applications solutions to complex business issues
Perform work operations on non-powered passive equipment or circuits with direct supervision from lead installer
Assist in the addition or removal of telecom batteries
Assist the lead installer in performing equipment testing and turn-up
Perform in-process and final quality inspections
Follow all environmental health and safety (ehs) guidelines
Communicate with the lead installer on all aspects of the job throughout the duration of the job
Perform work assignments assigned by lead installer/supervisor
Eligibility requirements/ physical demands and work environment
Travel approximately 100%
Ability and willingness to work different shirts (swing shifts)
Lifting heavy object – up to 80lbs will be required.
Ability to
Work varying shifts (swing shifts will be required)
Use a lifting technique to maneuver, install or remove 80-750 lbBatteries
Push or pull cables up to 60 lbs.
Climb ladders up to 8 ft.
Work/stand on ladders for long periods of time
Stand for long periods of time
Frequently reach above, below or at shoulder level
Frequently bend, twist or stoop
Frequently crouch or squat
Be exposed to central office / cable office environment with moderate noise levels and nominal variations in heat and cold
Education/experience/skills
High school diploma / ged
Minimum of 0 to 1 1/2 years of experience in dc power equipment installation
Minimum of 0 to 1/1/2 years of experience adding or removing wiring and connections on non-powered passive dc powered equipment or addition or removing telecom batteries (skill sets for a level i installer)
