Full job description
A small but growing law firm in rockland county, new york, is seeking a part-time associate attorney (between 12-20 hours per week)This is an opportunity to work in a warm and friendly environment with interesting and dynamic workPosition will be partially remote (with occasional office days) or in person.
The ideal candidate has specific experience and strong familiarity with corporate, contracts, and commercial real estate mattersTypical projects are:
Commercial real estate - review, draft, edit, redline, and negotiate:
Commercial leases and riders, lease modification agreements, lease terminations, etc.;
Commercial purchase/sale and refinancing, and attend commercial real estate closings.
Corporate matters - draft and edit
Formation, organizational, dissolution and other corporate documents such as board resolutions, consents, and shareholders’ agreements for corporations and llcs (both for client’s internal use and filings with the state);
Documents for corporate transactions such as mergers, asset purchases, settlement agreements, etc.;
Due diligence requests and complete document review
Contract projects – draft, edit, and negotiate
Commercial contracts including for the sale of goods, services, construction, etc.;
Digital commercial terms of use, data security and privacy agreements and privacy policies and related research;
Salary range of $40/hr to $55/hr, depending on experience.
Requirements:
At least 3 years directly relevant experience
J.dFrom accredited law school
Admission to new york bar
Admission to new jersey bar (preferred but not required)
Excellent research, writing and communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Intellectually curious, creative and passionate about quality work
