Zachary piper solutions is actively looking for a policy analyst to join a private organization supporting the department of veterans affairs program (tap) located remotely.
A few of the job responsibilities for the policy analyst
Conduct communications and interacts with government officials and agencies
Assist in the management of interagency activities, including working group milestones, agenda management, briefing product collection and distribution, recording of official minutes, and official correspondence.
Act as a liaison between the legislative entities and the organization, responsible for any related queries
Review internal policies, plans, programs to ensure consistency with corresponding government regulations and laws
• review legislative and external requirements to identify possible impacts on interagency partnerships• provide oted leadership with regular reports documenting legislation affecting oted programs and policies
Prepare policy reports and briefs of research and presents findings
Provide strategic guidance and discuss recommendations or concerns
Review, support the establishment of, maintain, and provide clear, consistent, and detailed schematics, directives, and standard operating procedures in support of interagency tap governance
Draft official reports to congress, official letters, memos, reports, briefing papers, white papers required of interagency working groups and executive councils.
Generate responses to controlled correspondence and congressional inquiries of interagency working groups and programs.
Basic qualifications for the policy analyst
Eight years (8) of relevant experience
Ba/bs degree
Expertise in federal and state policy issues and data sources and legislative websites to find and present accurate information
Must be a u.sCitizen, permanent resident or ead to obtain and maintain a naci (national agency check with inquiries) public trust clearance
Compensation for the policy analyst:
Salary range: $85,000 – $95,000
