As a software development engineer in test (sdet) at opengov you`ll verify the proper functioning of best-in-class saas solutions that enable efficiency, transparency, and accountability within government agenciesYou`ll be a key member of our engineering team, creating testing artifacts, working hand-in-hand with the developers, and ensuring the team delivers a high quality product to the user.
A typical day in this role would provide opportunities to perform manual and exploratory testing and to develop, maintain, and execute both ui automated tests and api automated tests and manual tests for smoke, nightly regression, and feature testing.

Establish quality assurance best practices within the engineering team
Create testing artifacts such as test plans, test cases, test reports, and tests
Manually test new features under development and continually develop automated tests
Improve the quality of the delivered product by performing pre-release regression tests
Work with jenkins to schedule tests, analyze tests results, and share metrics and feedback

Required education and experience: *
*
5+ years industry experience as a sdet/qa engineer
3+ years professional experience testing saas solutions deployed in azure or aws
Demonstrated experience establishing, enhancing and maintaining test plans
Experience with automated testing frameworks such as selenium
Experience testing apis
Experience working in agile product teams (scrum and kanban)
3+ years professional experience with a modern cloud platform (aws/azure)
Demonstrated experience designing, building, and delivering complete software solutions
Experience submitting and reviewing pull requests
Proven ability to collaborate with product management, stakeholders, designers, and engineers

Preferred education and experience: *

Experience using industry standard application performance logging and monitoring tools e.gDatadog, newrelic, observe
Programming experience in javascript, reactjs, nodejs

This position is 100% remote and can be located anywhere in the united statesInfrequent travel may be required for this position.
