As an experienced business security analyst in the harver global security and compliance team you will play an instrumental role in identification of compliance, privacy and business challenges within the organizationYou will serve as an experienced professional in handling governance, privacy, and compliance projects within the organization and identifying opportunities for the organization to reduce risk while bridging the gap between security and client relationsYou will have the opportunity to learn from the team and expand your skills within security and compliance while being a foundational part of our program as we grow.
What you`ll need
Experience in privacy and compliance with an understanding of how this interacts with the organization as well as an ability to align remediation strategies with industry frameworks.
Experience in reviewing and identifying privacy and compliance control gaps, and providing recommendations to other areas within global security and compliance
You should understand at least one industry recognized framework, such as iso, nist or hitrust, and have familiarity with additional industry frameworks
Ability to understand and translate security concepts and risk scenarios to identify their impact on technology, business, and customers
You should understand various disciplines present in a complex security and compliance organization (e.g., threat detection/intelligence, security platforms, grc, etc.).
You are able to identify and interpret security controls and understand how they address compliance and privacy needs
You should be a clear communicator and be able to understand and discuss technical concepts, threats and security controls to leaders, architects, engineers, customers and peers
You have empathy for customers and engineers when working with peers
You understand when to involve the right team for a given activity
You are willing to collaborate with groups and identify touch points
The ability to learn and understand that everyone brings a unique experience that can provide a different perspective.
What you`ll do
You will work closely with security and compliance team members, legal, engineering, product, and marketing teams
Evaluate risks based on accepted framework, review controls and systems ensuring alignment with our organizational risk tolerance and business objectives
Perform evidence gathering to accommodate compliance requests and audits
Develop auditable processes and procedures for implemented controls
Assess regulatory compliance and identify deficiencies across the organization
Assist in development of policies/standards/procedures to eliminate or mitigate potential risks across the organization
Contribute to development of disaster recovery (dr) and business continuity planning (bcp) documentation
Prepare reports and present recommendations
Be a collaborative team member who is willing to learn from peers within it, security, and compliance.
Respond to questionnaires and participate in customer compliance audits
Support additional security and compliance projects as necessary
Evaluate employees’ risk awareness and train them when necessary
Advocate for and defend your stance, but also take feedback, advice considering other viewpoints
Certifications and education a plus but are not required
