Description:
Position objective:
To strategize, brainstorm, create and promote social campaigns for students opposing speciesism (sos), helping to grow our movement and reach young people about speciesism and animal liberation.
Primary responsibilities and duties:
Collaborate and brainstorm with peta staff to create compelling and emotionally evocative content to tell a story with —both words and well-designed imagery—for the sos instagram and peta`s tiktok
Ensure that compelling and inspiring posts are featured on our grid and post stories highlighting our mission and the latest student actions by maintaining our social media schedule for instagram
Recording and coordinating with other staff and students to record reels, ig lives, etc., to engage our audience
Strategizing and helping to create partnerships and paid ads for our sos instagram
Initiating and executing a plan to highlight each sos organizer on our ig page
Brainstorm actions and campaigns with the team for our sos program
Assist with creating and presenting sos trainings
Working with our advanced sos interns to create compelling content for our social media
Tracking and analyzing success of our social media presence
Travel for demonstrations, speaking engagements, and other events
Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor
Requirements:
At least two years of social and digital marketing experience with proven success in the areas of engagement and analysis on instagram
Proven ability to prioritize work, handle multiple tasks, work well under pressure, and meet deadlines
Thorough knowledge of photoshop, canva, imovie, and google analytics
Knowledge of youth culture, animal rights issues, and peta campaigns
Excellent grammar and writing skills
Excellent organizational and public speaking skills
Proven effective written and verbal communication skills
Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid u.sDriver`s license, a minimum of three years of driving experience, and a satisfactory driving record
Ability and willingness to travel for demonstrations, speaking engagements, and other events
This position requires proof of the covid-19 full vaccination
Adherence to a healthy vegan lifestyle
Commitment to the objectives of the organization
Support for peta`s philosophy and the ability to professionally advocate peta`s positions on issues
