Position summary
Full remote opportunity
The development team leader (lead) designs develops, and tests ios mobile apps based on the functional and technical specifications to meet quality & performance requirementsAs a lead you will be responsible for the architecture, design, code review, technology build and deployment activities of the ios mobile appsThey are expected to be proficient in a variety of technologies and languages (objective-c, c and/or c++, etc., microservices, cloud architecture and api’s) to develop applicationsThe lead approaches software holistically, catering to both user experience and functionalityHe/she dabbles in emerging technologies (e.g., machine learning, internet of things and artificial intelligence etc.) to develop solutions that improve business performance (e.g., proactive customer service, outage management, grid balancing, fraud detection, iot security)The lead is recognized as an expert in their functional area within the organization and works independently, under minimal guidance from their managerMay have direct responsibility of leading a small team of developers, as requiredProgression to team leader level is limited on the basis of business requirementThis role works under the guidance of the system architect.
Primary responsibilities
1Advance in depth emerging technology and software delivery knowledge
2Collaborate with business users, system analysts, developers, and ecosystem partners to bring innovative ideas from conception to launch at scale
3Extensive software development skills including objective-c, c and/or c++
4Mastery of apple’s development tools and development environments and how to deal with different screen sizes
5Experience working with ios frameworks such as core data, core animation, core graphics and core text, core location, etc.
6Familiarity with restful apis to connect ios applications to back-end services
7Strong knowledge of ios ui design principles, patterns, and best practices
8Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
9Ability to design applications around natural user interfaces, such as “touch”
10Familiarity with the use of additional sensors, such as gyroscopes and accelerometers
11Experience with third-party libraries and apis
12Strong expertise in developing enterprise applications on ios
13Avid follower of the technology industry and current technology trends
14The ideal profile is for someone who has extensive experience working on ios and/or macos x applications, at all levels from product design down to scalable infrastructure
15Proven leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and lead other talented developers and work collaboratively with designers
Familiarity with cocoa, cocoa touch and other sdks for mobile app development
16Assist in analyzing and researching new and existing products, procedures, and/or workflow needs associated with business systems
17Work in an iterative/agile environment and be a strong team player
18Adopt emerging technologies and launch products / services faster with rapid prototyping & iterative methods
19Work very closely with the system architect and multiple technology teams to champion the adoption of patterns, platforms, and tools to support the usage and conformity of solution architecture
20Manage automation and monitor application integration as code iteratively goes through assembly and product tests
21Manages and mentors’ developers on job responsibilities
22May be assigned an electric utilities emergency and storm roleThis is a special assignment that comes into play during storms and other emergencies when the company needs to restore power or respond to other issues affecting customer serviceThis role may necessitate the need to work after-hours, outside of your normal schedule.

Basic qualifications
1Bachelor`s degree and 7 years of related work experience or 10 years of relevant work experience
2Background in software development and is familiar with one or more software languages such as objective-c, swift, cocoa, cocoa touch and other mobile sdk’s etc.
3Excitement, curiosity, and passion for shaping the future through digital technology
4Familiar with the latest technologies, trends, standards, products, and applicability
5Ability to effectively adapt to rapid technological and business change while maintaining enthusiasm and displaying sound judgment
6Strong problem solving and analytics skills to be able to develop technology solutions that solve business problems quickly
7Ability to collaborate with internal and external teams to unblock critical issues during product development
Preferred qualifications
1Master`s degree in relevant technology/industry areas
22 years leadership experience
3Ability to collaborate with team members across different functional domains and technologies
4Working knowledge in one or more of emerging technologies (e.g., microservices, devops, multi-cloud technologies, iot, intelligent automation, rpa, test automation, artificial intelligence, etc.)
5Self-starter mentality and an ability to spin up, configure development and test environments
6Utilities industry experience
7Excellent interpersonal relations skills
