About us: paradise law group is a fast-growing boutique law firm focused solely on legal opinions for real estate loan transactionsWe work with some of the most recognized names in real estate law by integrating seamlessly with borrower’s deal counsel, lender’s counsel, and the client to finalize opinions.
The position: as a paralegal, you will be assisting with the first drafts of legal documents by analyzing various deal documents such as org charts, operating agreements, and loan documentsThis is an opportunity to learn more about the complexities, nuances, and diversity of real estate transactions and work with some of the best people in the business.
Location: we prefer someone who is local to the los angeles area however we will also consider fully remote candidates.
Client billable hour requirement: zero! while this is a full-time position, our model provides the opportunity for flexible work hours and no need to keep track of your billable timeWe value and respect the need for people`s autonomy in the workplace and love the idea of extreme ownership of one`s responsibilities.
Other responsibilities:
Track transaction tasks, parties, and key dates, and communicate progress to the team as issues and tasks are resolved.
Keep matter folders organized.
Assemble and circulate the necessary documents for each transaction.
Prepare signature page documents.
Assist with 1st drafts on legal documents.
Assist with administrative duties as needed.
Assist with entity formations, draft corporate resolutions, and update minute books and other corporate governance materials.
Conduct basic legal and business research.
Review organizational documents.
Review certified organizational documents and good standing certificates.
Review consents and resolutions.
Education and/or experience:
Five (5) or more years of paralegal experience required, including substantial experience working in commercial real estate and/or commercial real estate lendingCorporate paralegal experience is also very relevant for this position.
