Our team is seeking a senior software engineer with an interest in agriculture, biotechnology and genomicsOur highly scalable software and services aim to uncover the living layer of the soil and unlock the next level of yield and profitability for our farmersWe run our stack in docker containers orchestrated by kubernetes on gcp, with a reactjs web client, and a react native mobile applicationYou will join our software engineering team, which works closely with the product team to build highly responsive and data-intensive, user-facing interfaces.
Required skills
Strong experience with modern javascript libraries and frameworks such as react and react native.
Excellent sense of web design and awareness of the fundamentals of user experience.
Experience throughout the full software development lifecycle, from conception, architecture definition, detailed design, scoping, planning, implementation, testing to documentation, delivery, and maintenance
Great knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices, including code standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and maintenance
Degree in computer science or related technical field
Experience with cloud infrastructure providers, aws, or gcp is a plus
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong, collaborative relationships.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment
Responsibilities
Write reusable, testable, and efficient code
Evolve the architecture for our front-end platform
Assess and prioritize feature requests and customer-facing issues
Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
Identify and establish patterns and best practices for building excellent web experiences
Take ownership of new products/features from development through deployment and production monitoring
