This position will work independently with minimal supervision and is 100% remote! prepare complex closeout billings for submissions to customers of various types of government and commercial contracts, accounts analysis and financial reconciliationsReview monthly invoices according to company guidelines utilizing financial reports to ensure compliance with deliverable deadlinesYou will analyze and reconcile unbilled receivables against the cost transaction reports from the legacy data warehouse or against the standard costpoint reports research and resolve a variety of internal and external customer inquiries concerning closeout billing status, and initiate communications to external and internal customers to resolve closeout billing discrepancies and issues.
Required qualifications bachelor`s degree in accounting, finance or related field plus 2 or more years of related experience or master`s degree plus 6 or more years of related experience or phd plus 3 or more years of related experience is required 2 years of closeout billing experience with major government contractors is required minimum of three years of contracts closeout billing experience using deltek costpoint 7 and cognos reporting tool, must be recent (within the last year) experience with processing a high volume of invoices monthly experience processing and validating project type (time& material (t&m), firm fixed price (ffp), and cost plus (cp) closeout invoicesProficient in ms office applications (word, outlook, excel) excellent data analysis skills thorough understanding and working knowledge of incurred costs vs billed costs analysis team player who thrives to work in a diverse environment with get the job done attitude.
Desired qualifications are an independent worker that thrives in high paced environment where competing priorities are the norm strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills highly organized and detail oriented with excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communications skills familiar with government and commercial contracts terminology accustomed to working with medium to large sized contracting companies where multiple responsibilities are assigned
