Peraton is seeking shipping and receiving clerks (shipping and receiving clerk i) to join the united states postal service central repair facility contractThis position will be located in topeka, ks.
General:
Performs shipping and receiving functions in support of the usps central repair facility.
Educational and experience requirements:
High school graduate or equivalentOne year of related experience required.
Required skills:
Forklift operation experience
Ability to obtain and maintain forklift license
Ability to use small hand tools and operate machines
Ability to work with computers
Ability to stand on feet for long durations
Desired skills:
Experience with banding, insta-pack, pad pack, and similar equipment
Experience with storage and handling of esd sensitive items
Specifics:
Performs interchangeably as receiving clerk and shipping clerkUnpacks, identifies, and prepares necessary receiving documents required for work control of end items as established in work instructionsUnloads and distributes piece parts and supplies to appropriate areasFollows instructions for packing, marking, and shipping as required to meet timely shipping performanceCoordinates necessary shipping paperwork as required in the established work instructionsMay be required to operate a motor vehicle in the movement of goodsExtensive interactions with internal and external customersPerforms other related tasks as assigned.
