Company dispatcher position:
Position summary:
Position is responsible for coordinating perkins logistics llc fleet of expidite professional drivers to fulfill our customers needs thro ugh reliable, ontime, safe, professional, efficient transportation and delivery.

Experience dispatching high volume of local and long haul commerical vechicals.
Follow perkins logistics llc policies and procedures in everyday daily task/operation.
Intermediate communication skills (verbal and written) in english.
Bilingual intermediate (verbal and written) communication skills in spanish and english (higher commision).
Must be able to accurately process numeric informationUnderstanding of demienison of freight to which equipment can haul itIncludes commodenties to available equipment.
Well-developed interpersonal skills when interacting with perkins logistics drivers, customers, and general public.
Strong time management and organizational skills while being detailed orientant on every assignment.
Ability to think logically and make sound decisions.
Ability to work with limited supervision, multitask and function effectively under pressure and time constraints.
Ability to work extended hours, holidays and/or weekends as needed.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Preferred
Experience dispatchers comfortable coordinating pickups and dropoffs from the airport.
Demonstrate geographical knowledge of their region when communicating with our fleet based out of your region, broker and customers/clients.
Duties and responsibilities:
Primary
Assigns drivers, and cordinate pick-up and delivery schedule.
Schedules, coordinates and efficient ontime deliveries, service calls and related activities.
Work cooperatively with other departments to assist in planning for optimum productivity.
Communicate any delays or issues with appropriate company personnel via telephone and/or e-mail.
Monitors activity and inputs information via an in-house software system as well as through other forms of communication.
Respond to common inquiries relating to the areas assigned.
Performs data entry for operational record keeping systems.
Report driver performance issues or concerns to appropriate management for resolution.

The employee must continuously use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate controls; and reach with hands and arms.

Safety requirements:

Verify driver has their ppe and equipment instructed by perkins logistics requirements
Comply with all company safety policies, procedures, and rules
Refuse any unsafe task or operation
Participate in safety meetings and training
