Piper clinical solutions is actively seeking benefits verification specialist with a medical background for work at a large global clinical research organizationThis is a monday through friday 8am to 5pm position working from home / remote.
Responsibilities for benefits verification specialist:
Assist patients, pharmacies, and pharmaceutical companies with reviewing medical records, benefits questions, billing reimbursements, insurance claims, appeals, and product complaints to ensure quality of care for clinical trial subjects
Coordinate with patients, medical providers, and pharmaceutical company representatives
Collect and enter data, review insurance claims and appeals, verify benefits, communicate with pharmacies, and any other reporting as needed
Technical requirements for benefits verification specialist:
At least 1 years of experience in a professional medical environment such as primary care clinic, hospital, health insurance organization, medical billing call center, pharmacy and/or emergency departments
Excellent written, verbal, communication, and organizational skills.
Hands on experience with reviewing medical documentation, medical billing, finances, patient care coordinating and/or understanding medical terminology.
Very strong computer and organizational skills as well as strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
Compensation & benefits for benefits verification specialist:
Compensation: $17-20/hr based on previous salary history and experience
