Piper companies is seeking a fully remote vp of software engineering to join a growing healthcare technology companyThe vp of software engineering will manage director-level individuals and architect-level contributors on critical process improvement and cloud technology initiatives.
Responsibilities of the vp of software engineering include:
Technical leadership and oversight of a team of 200 software engineers
Create process and management structure for offshore and onshore teams
Produce metrics and measure performance and improvement
Develop ci/cd workflows and structure
Work with product management on new products and enhancements
Develop, implement, and improve the software development process, including analysis, design, code development, test, and support
Drive architecture and technology modernization of the products, including migration to public clouds
Create and implement training and development plans for team members and managers
Work with customers on new features, enhancements, custom software, and configuration in an agile manner
Qualifications for the vp of software engineering include:
10+ years of software development experience
2+ years in a director or leadership position
Experience with client/server, web, and database software development, preferably in java/weblogic/oracle
Experience direct supervision of software development teams
Well-versed in agile methodologies, scrum, in particular
Strong software architecture skills and expertise in modern development/testing tools and practices
Experience with delivering products in a saas model and migrating products to public clouds
Experience with healthcare software products, services, and customers
Ability to work cross-functionally with all organizational levels
Ability to engage, motivate and lead engineering teams
Bachelor`s degree in computer science or engineering or equivalent experience

Compensation for the vp of software engineering include:
Salary range: $200,000-$240,000 + bonus package **depending on experience**
