Platinum cargo logistics, a leader in the freight forwarding transportation industry provides north american and worldwide expedited air, ground, and ocean heavy weight shipping services, project management, trade show servicesPlatinum cargo logistics is seeking an experienced outside account representative.
Responsibilities:
· have documented and established clients in then rgv/north mexico area.
· ability to target and identify domestic & international freight forwarding services: ground, air & ocean.
· knowledge of domestic & international freight forwarding services is required.
· selling expedited hot shot and full truckload service.
· experience in trade show, white glove transportation services, warehousing and distribution services is helpful.
· calling on small, medium, and larger corporations (targeting multiple departments) where the decision-makers are.
· self-manage using effective time and account management skills.
· premise cold calling as well as phone calling bypassing voicemails and gatekeepers.
· setting up qualified sales appointments with key decision makers, minimum 15+ calls per week.
· creating proposals and pricing/service levels to meet the clientele’s specific needs in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
· minimum of 3-5 years existing experience in the non-asset based freight forwarding and or transportation/logistic industry
· demonstrate solid oral, written & listening communications skills is required.
· excel, word, outlook, and power-point presentations.
