Overview: a lead technical consultant in the professional services organization implements powerplan’s software products and solutions to meet specific customer requirementsThe lead technical consultant is an experienced resource with relevant knowledge working with multiple technologies to integrate systems both on-premise and in the cloudStrong technical ability in both design and implementation is requiredA lead technical consultant will manage the delivery of technical workstreams on assigned projectsLead technical consultant will work closely with the assigned resources within the workstream for overall delivery.
Responsibilities:
Accept and translate business requirements from functional project team or customer to technical requirements
Actively participate and engage highly as part of a project team (including clients, colleagues, other consultants, vendors, etc.)Activities include: contributing to project tasks, plan development, completion of templates and documentation, and creation and execution of test scripts.
Complete tasks and activities as assigned by the project manager/project lead, and in accordance with powerplan’s methodologyAct as a lead on all sizes of projects.
Serve as escalation point of contact on technical needs for project teams.
Adhere to project schedules and budgetary constraints; provide early notice of any potential risks or issues with respect to adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality of services.
Responsible for the quality assurance (qa) protocols for professional services solution design, development and deployment.
Develop application and domain/industry specific expertise and utilize this knowledge on projects.
Focus on and quickly deliver requests, while driving collaboration across multiple teams and gathering information from multiple sources.
Provide knowledge of integration methods and best practices.
Provide knowledge of data transfer security standards, including ssl, ftps.
Hands-on project execution:
Interact with customers to analyze, validate, specify, verify, and document requirements.
Development of integrations using etl tools such as snaplogic, informatica, and ssis.
Design and execute integrations with erps, including sap, maximo, jde, and other leading vendors.
Develop technical specifications documents for report, interfaces, conversions, extensions, forms and configurations.
Collaborate with the project lead to develop effective project execution strategies and test plans.
Perform analysis to ensure the project meets specific customer requirements and are within company standards.
Define and build the configuration based on the business requirementsOther responsibilities include, unit testing their work, testing the software and performing analysis to ensure the project meets specific customer requirements and are within company standards.
Identify client skill or knowledge gaps that might be addressed via powerplan’s training organization and/or via enhanced support model.
Address risks and resolve issues relating to testing; if needed, with assistance/direction from the project manager/lead.
Testing
Assist with the development of use and test cases, as appropriate.
Support client testing and provide defect resolution.
Support application go-live
Provide knowledge transfer to clients and ensure the client staff are ready to operate the application upon go-live.
Assist clients in transitioning the application to client’s production support team.
Plan and execute effective hand-off to powerplan’s support organization.
Identify client skill or knowledge gaps that might be addressed via powerplan’s training organization and/or via an enhanced support model.
Cutover planning and support
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, computer science or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
5-10 years’ experience implementing enterprise software applications in a client-facing technical consulting role; preferably in a software consulting or it type organization:
Experience in more than one phase of the implementation process.
Experience with utilizing a robust implementation methodology.
History of increasing responsibility or upward progression.
Minimum 5-years sql experience.
Strong technical background, with experience in .net, java, sql, oracle databaseAbility to design, develop, maintain, and implement effective application software on multiple technical platforms using one or more families of languages: java se, javascript, sql, web services (rest, xml, etc.).
Able to track multiple independent work items simultaneously.
Ability to work professionally with the client, project team and powerplan, incColleagues.
Ability to relate technical concepts to various types of technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to lead meetings internally with the project team and with clients.
High level of collaboration skills, especially with co-workers or subject matter experts not in the same location.

Preferred qualifications: *
Experience with implementing key enterprise applications, including erp, eam, and crm.
Working knowledge of financial accounting processes (planning, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, project accounting, close, budget, tax, physical asset management, regulatory) for erp implementations
Java/.net web development (web services, wsdl, enterprise business applications, etc.).
Rest/soap integration.
Enterprise integration experience.
Ldap integration experience.
Single sign-on configuration and administration.
Saml, oauth, standard security protocols.
Rdbms/sql experience (oracle preferred but experience with sql a must).
Cloud experience a plus (aws, microsoft, etc.).
Understanding of system and network architecture, system platforms, system access, data models, database design, complex sql queries, and network protocols.
Experience with some of the advanced functions of excel, including functions, macros, and pivot tables.
Process orientation, and ability to analyze and design/build complex processes.
Hands-on experience working on or with capital projects, capital budgets and fixed asset accounting, or business tax software.
Industry experience within oil and gas, mining, transportation, natural resources, utilities, energy markets or telecom.
Knowledge of test management software (e.gQtest, hp alm).
