Job description
You will oversee the research, negotiations, booking, and ongoing communication with host venues across approximately 200 sporting events nationwide annuallyYou will work with our event strategy and business development teams to determine future event schedules, collecting and communicating potential event opportunities across the countryYou will also review the schedules ensuring that all operational needs align prior to publishing them, as well as coordinating print and shipping orders.
You will work closely with our internal staffing coordinator to assign staffing needs and monitor staffing progress for each eventYou will act as the primary point of contact with all site and event directors; researching, hiring, and training local site directors in all event marketsYou will also help manage communications with official (i.eReferee) assignors across the country.
The five-day workweek for this position will be wednesday-sunday with mondays and tuesdays off during the event season (march-august).
Required skills
Minimum of 3 years experience in event coordination and/or management
Extremely strong organizational skills
Preferred skills
Experience working in the youth and/or high school sports space
Experience booking venues for events
Experience working with shipping companies (ups, fedex, etc)
Experience staffing events
