Key responsibilities
Collaborate cross-functionally to creatively apply cheminformatics tools to advance drug discovery programs
Develop integrated cheminformatics/computational chemistry protocols to facilitate sar analysis and adme optimization for targeted protein degrader lead molecules
Identify cheminformatics needs and issues, and deliver solutions for medicinal chemistry, biology, and dmpk as needed
Support cheminformatics applications through evaluation, training, upgrades, customization, and data curation
Maintain state-of-the-art knowledge of cheminformatics methods
Optimize and maintain proteovant`s scientific databases
We can fill this role at levels from principal scientist to assocDirector depending on the candidate`s skills, experience and accomplishments
Requirements
Ph.dIn cheminformatics, computational chemistry, or chemistry with 5+ years of relevant experience at a pharmaceutical or biotech company
Strong track record of cheminformatics contributions that have advanced drug discovery programs
Expertise in analyzing and manipulating biological and chemical datasets and effectively communicating the results to impact drug discovery teams
Experience in the creation and optimization of scientific data workflows
Competency in programming and scripting
Expertise in molecular modeling and simulations preferred
Experience in hts/fbdd library design desired
Strong track record of external publication and presentation demonstrating scientific innovation
Collaborative, organized, data-driven, and detail-oriented
Strong oral and written communication skills
