Full job description
The web technology lead is responsible for delivering technology solutions related to the purpose financial e-commerce product suite of products and servicesThis is a remote opportunity; however due to current regulations purpose financial is not able to hire remote employees who reside in the following states: ak, az, ar, ct, hi, il, me, md, ma, mn, mt, ne, nh, nj, nm, ny, nd, or, sd, vt and wv.
This role includes driving technology initiatives across technical teams that include software and user experience developers, quality assurance testers, and business stakeholdersThe technology lead will evaluate business needs and options for technical solutions, design those solutions, break down the work required, estimate the effort and time involved, and distribute the work across the teamThe lead will participate in the development through design, coding, code reviews, unit testing, code management, deployments into test environments and working with testing and business teams to accept the work and deliver it to customers in production.
This role will also contribute to strategic planning within the it group, continuous process improvement, and forward-looking opportunities with emerging technologies.
Experience required:
7+ years’ experience in website / web application development using html, css, javascript, and javascript frameworksExperience in a lead role developing public facing, high quality, scalable, responsive, attractive, user-friendly, web applications, while adhering to an agile development processExperience in ramping up on existing software systems and understanding underlying architecture patternsStrong organizational skills and the ability to manage timelines.
Knowledge required:
Understanding of developing and deploying web sites on windows platformsKnowledge of software development and development teams with multiple developers working across multiple environments (development, test, production)Knowledge around integrating with apis, handling exceptions in software, software development patterns, and software documentation.
