The role
Asa buyer supporting the supply chain program, the candidate will be responsible forpurchasing, sourcing and expediting a complete family of parts within amanufacturing environmentThe role will require the candidate to be highlyorganized, possess excellent communication skills, be team oriented, and haveexcellent data management skills; and be able to quickly learn and adaptAspart of a quest team the candidate will use a combination of skills in order toprovide excellent service to the customers to meet strict deadlines.

Essential job functions:
Control the flow of incoming materials toefficiently meet manufacturing requirements
Work with suppliers and internal network to mitigategaps in material supply
Provide timely communication to manufacturing andother relevant internal functional personnel
Analyzeand evaluate bids to select best supplier
Issue and updatepurchase orders in erp
Expedite parts
Evaluate vendorreliability
Track daily suppliershipments
Perform pricejustifications
Contract/purchaseorder knowledge
Specializedknowledge / skills
Proficiencymanipulating data within ms excel to create graphs, charts, and tables required
Abilityto create business correspondences using email and ms powerpoint required
Proficientwith sap
Education,training, and experience
Bs degree in business or applicable degree
3-5 years’experience preferred
Intermediateproficiency with mrp system and excel
Intermediate proficiency with microsoft officetools will be required for presentations and metrics
Aerospaceindustry experience preferred
