Description
We are searching for a self-driven database developer to join our business technology teamThis role will work within the software development group in our recruiting division and will be responsible for working with the development team, dba, and infrastructure team that designs, builds, and maintains applications related to the trucking industryThe goal of this position is to work with the software developers in creating needed database queries, tables, updates, and changes within the standard set by the dba while keeping an eye on performance and scalability as related to the database.
What you’ll do
Optimize and write mysql queries for software development
Partner with product owners and project managers top pull product data and create reports
Implement designs as set forth from the dba or solutions architect
Troubleshoot and fix database issues
Provide guidance and support to software developers
Work with project managers and business analysts to document current and future database processes
Required skills:
3+ years of experience with development of mysql environments writing and optimizing complex sql queries
3+ years linux experience
Php and php frameworks
Experience with etl tools and bi tools

Self-directed, proven ability to work efficiently and effectively with minimal supervision
Other pluses: laravel, docker, people
Education
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience
