The opportunity
Rapid7`s cloud security practice is seeking a passionate lead cloud qa engineer to join the insightcloudsec software team.

In this role, you will
Lead the testing efforts by designing, developing and executing tests.
Lead and contribute to test planning earlier in the development lifecycle (having the shift-left testing mindset)
Influence code quality by engaging and mentoring software engineers with software testing best practices throughout the development lifecycle
Author, maintain, and execute automated tests using open source tools and technologies (cypress or similar)
Identify, record, and thoroughly document bugs within the insightcloudsec platform
Conduct, coordinate pre/post-release testing
Help track quality assurance metrics and okrs.
Stay up-to-date with new software testing tools and testing methodologies
Develop subject matter expertise on the insightcloudsec platform (built in python)
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of software qa methodologies, patterns and tools
Experience with docker, automation test framework, and ci/cd pipeline is a plus
Knowledge and hands-on expertise with public cloud technologies such as aws is a plus
Experience with api testing, authoring and executing automated tests using cypress is a plus
Experience working in an agile/scrum software development process
Experience in a fast-growing, technology startup work environment with minimal guidance
