Raytheon intelligence & space (ri&s) is looking to hire a software quality digital transformation (dt) engineer.
This is a remote position
The effective candidate will be responsible for supporting a distributed mission assurance (ma) team in the pursuit of organizational digital transformation (dt)Dt in this context includes aspects of development & operations (dev*ops), process and tools automation, value stream mapping, agile development, model-base engineering, lean/six sigma, and dt metricsDt initiatives will span across mission assurance and ri&s business areas and programs.
This role will reside in the software quality engineering department and report to the software quality engineering subject matter expert (sme).
Additional roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Lead, consult, and mentor mission assurance and our ri&s business partners in digital transformation.
Ability to work within a cross-functional, matrixed organization in which there is close interaction and collaboration with program quality and engineering
Support an effective dt strategy designed to provide the business continuous improvement in dt maturation.
U.sCitizenship required, as the candidate must have an active u.sDod secret security clearance day one of employment.
Required skills
Minimum 5 years of related experience in software quality engineering or software engineering
Programming experience i.eUnix, java, c, c++, or c#
Experience leading small project or initiatives
Experience with agile/scrum software development
Must be able to express ideas effectively in written and verbal form
Demonstrated problem solving, and organizational, planning, multitasking and interpersonal skills required
Experience architecting and implementing automation
Ability to work with little supervision and direction
Experience working in a devsecops development environment
Proficient computer skills in ms word, excel, and powerpoint.
Desired skills
Working knowledge of app and bot development, automation expertise, software development, software quality, software assurance, cybersecurity, devops, scripting, code analysis, software development pipeline and automation techniques, advanced software testing techniques, change leadership, trend analysis and root cause, corrective action (rcca) activities, and model based engineering.
Knowledge in configuration management and control resources
Experience with value stream mapping
Utilization of devops metrics to monitor program performance and proliferate continuous improvement activities.
Education
Typically requires a degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (stem) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
