The software/hardware test lab manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the key hardware, competencies, and processes required to meet the hardware and software testing needs of the business, including staffing, equipment and facilities, test setup and testing processes, data acquisition and reporting processes, and root cause analysis of test-related failures.
This will be a true front-line, customer-facing manager, ensuring that requested test projects efficiently meet requestor’s design goals.
This environment will exist in a consolidated location in central connecticut and will be an on-site opportunity.
Experience/qualifications
Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience preferred
Knowledgeable of and experienced working in complex technical environments
Ability to multi-task and work independently, as well as work collaboratively with teams, some of which may be geographically distributed
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills are essential
Ability to build and maintain customer relationships; strong team player, able to meet deadlines and adjust to changing priorities
Experience influencing and directing the actions of those not within the direct reporting chain is essential
Education:
Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 7 years prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
