You will join a growing mission-driven product design team with a strong dedication to our customers by ensuring that the design and experience of our products are seamless, meaningful, and valuableYou will lead a team of product designers and researchers and be responsible for the creation and maintenance of research and design work for the entire red canary product portfolioYou’ll be responsible for leading and growing the design team, defining key processes, and partnering with peers across multiple departments to identify priorities.
What you`ll do
Be a proud people manager and enthusiastically coach your team to hone their crafts.
Manage the day-to-day operations of a talented, diverse, inclusive team of researchers, product designers, and writers.
Coach the team on how to break down complex problems, write and test hypotheses, craft success measures, and thoughtfully iterate to create great experiences.
Encourage sharing of new techniques and tools, showcase best of breed experiences in our industry, and invest in professional development.
Connect frequently with your peers in design, product management, engineering, and marketing in order to share learnings, align priorities, and identify opportunities for improvements to process, tools, or people.
Assist design leadership with overall team performance and health, resource allocation, project prioritization, and building a culture of design excellence.
Proactively solicit and provide feedback from designers and a broader product team in order to continually raise our bar for quality.
Continue to cultivate a healthy design process for the team.
What you`ll bring
A strong voice for our users and their needs through research, empathy, and understanding.
3-5 years experience designing and shipping high-quality, impactful, end-to-end experiences as a design lead or manager (this is not a hands-on design role).
2-3 years of experience with managing researchers and designers.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Bonus: previous experience at a saas software company serving b2b customers.
Targeted base salary range: $145,000- $170,000 + bonus eligibility and equity depending on experience.
