The school operates on pacific time and this role covers our full-time learners and our program plus staff are fully remote***this is considered a junior position at 60k/year***
What you`ll do:
Provide academic support to our learners to help them excel in technical interviewing, technical resume writing, leetcode practice, and gca testing
Allocate time for proactive outreach for academic help on a weekly basisProvide learner support in the form of office hours, live chat, and 1:1 sessions as needed.
Support with classroom management and administrative tasks
Report to lambda school on learner progress and successes throughout the course
Provide feedback and liaise with the management team
Review qualitative and quantitative feedback given to learners about their work
Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams dedicated to learner success on a regular basis
Hold regular retrospective meetings on class projects and content
Cover for guided projects as needed (if duly authorized as a lambda instructor)
Days/times will vary and hours will be up to a maximum of 40 hours as needed
What you`ll need:
1+ years experience in the tech industry in a software developer or data science role is preferred
Experience with javascript and python is a plus
Experience in technical interviewing is strongly preferred
Ability to explain complex technical concepts to a novice; strong empathy for learners
Process-oriented with exceptional attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in english
Self-starting with the ability to effectively work autonomously with little oversight
Extremely comfortable and compelling in public speaking situations
Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals
Data-driven approach: you’re motivated by metrics, and use these to inform how you approach your work
Create solutions that scale: you identify ways to make processes more efficient and do more with less, without sacrificing quality
