Role description:
As a qa analyst / tester at red van workshop, you will work side-by-side with the development team on client projectsOften a “solo” qa on a project, you must be able to work independently and communicate effectively with the pm(s) on the project, as well as, developers and client stakeholdersYou may work on a team composed solely of red van resources, or a mixture of red van and client resourcesYou must be comfortable communicating all concerns surrounding product quality and perceived and/or actualized project risks to the red van pm as the need arisesYou must also be willing to adhere to high standards without sacrificing flexibility and accommodating the unique needs of clientsThe red van qa team is growing and maturing our processes to accommodate the rapid changes being experienced across the companyThe ideal candidate can adapt to change and be a catalyst for change; sharing your experiences with the qa team and fostering an environment where we can learn from each other.
Qualifications:
Understand and implement best-fit approaches to testing to ensure that applications and new features work as expected
Understand and analyze user stories, requirements, or product specifications
Provide feedback about testability as appropriate
Design test plans or strategies as needed / appropriate
Design and execute test cases and scenarios to verify functionality
Collaborate with client and internal teams ensuring testing concerns are considered throughout project lifecycle
Communicate and triage discovered bugs
Suggest and help implement quality team process improvements to drive growth
Minimum qualifications:
Ba/bs degree or equivalent experience in the software testing field
Salesforce commerce cloud platform experience
5+ years of manual software testing experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Detail oriented
Good time management skills
Excellent problem-solving skills
Familiarity with agile methodologies
Familiarity with backlog / story grooming, story pointing and sprint planning
Must be authorized to work for any u.sEmployer
Preferred qualifications:
Salesforce marketing cloud, service cloud and/or order management platform experience
Experience conducting uat with external clients
Ui and/or api automation experience
Istqb ctfl certification
Compensation:
$75,000, - $95,000 annually
Red van workshop is a distributed company, so your geographic location within the usa is not critical: your office is your choiceOccasional travel availability to client locations may be necessary, so reasonable proximity to an airport with good commercial service is requiredMost of our crew travels rarely, at most a few days per quarter.
