Education, experience and skills
Bachelor’s or master`s degree in transportation, market research, statistics, math, economics, psychology, geography, engineering, or a similarly relevant field of study
0-3 years of professional experience, prior experience with research methods
Interest and/or experience in transit and travel behavior research
Strong analytic, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
Extremely organized, detail-oriented, resourceful, and flexible
Demonstrated ability to deliver work on a timeline
Strong writing, communication, and teaming skills with colleagues and clients
Proficiency in or strong aptitude for working with data and conducting analyses using statistical packages, databases, and spreadsheets, e.gSpss, python, sql, r, and/or excel
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and on a team
Experience in or desire to learn survey research methods and/or behavioral modeling
Physical demands
Requires periodic travel
Frequently involves standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
Operates a computer and other office equipment, such as a calculator, copy machine, or computer printer.
Frequently communicates with colleagues and clientsMust be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
Ability to uphold the stress of traveling.
Ability to lift and carry equipment or materials up to 25lbs.
