Mobile engineer - ios
Location: san ramon, ca or remote*

The role
As a mobile engineer for ios, you will be working directly on our ai-based education products for the ios platform that impact millions of learners globallyYou will own major features and work closely with our vp of engineering to ensure we are consistently shipping excellenceYou will contribute to the end-user experience while solving challenging problems of scale, usability, and developer productivityYou will be part of a small team with a significant amount of ownership and responsibility to produce resultsMost importantly, we will empower you to make a direct impact on our organization with your craft and passion.
Responsibilities
Architecting, building, and maintaining exceptional mobile applications with clean code
Successfully shipping ios applications on-time to meet business needs
Writing unit and integration tests for features built
Translating business and functional specifications into code
Working cross-functionally with product, design, and executive teams to deliver high-value products
Qualifications
Demonstrated expertise for native ios development (swift)
Experience with swiftui and combine
Ability to architect apps using clean design patterns (mvvm, tca, redux)
Understanding of test automation tools and frameworks
Understanding of apis and their consumption on mobile devices
At least 2 years of development experience
Proven experience leading and mentoring development teams
Desire to refine your craft by proactively seeking out ways to hone your skill sets
Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with stakeholders and team
Bonus points
Experience with grpc and protobuf
Experience with rxswift
Experience with ci/cd using fastlane and github actions
Familiarity with cross-platform mobile application development (react native, flutter)
Knowledge of the latest development trends with regards to ios development, design, and accessibility
Passion for the riiid labs mission and the education technology sector
