Description
Saic is seeking a senior software test engineer lead to join our teamThis position can be worked 100% remote nationwideWe are seeking a qualified team leader to work under the direction of the tess cross functional test delivery manager to conduct system functionality through the development of manual and automated tests of user stories, end-to-end scenarios, regression tests, and features sets.
Responsibilities include:
Adhere to coding standards in the development of the automated scripts/test scenarios in a devsecops environment using agile methodologies.
Perform defect tracking and reporting.
Participate in applicable customer and development team meetings (i.eProject kick off, release and sprint planning meetings, daily scrums, defect tracking, sprint review/retrospectives, orrs, weekly project meetings) to fully understand the technology and functionality of the testing engagement.
Tester supporting an agile/devsecops project must be able to maintain the speed, velocity, and flexibility necessary to provide testing services in those environments.
Works with project teams to retest and resolve defects, communicate test team results and report to the project team, and managers as needed.
Qualifications
Required qualifications:
B.sIn computer science or equivalent technical field and at least five (5) years of hands-on software testing experience
Ability to obtain a public trust (pass a naci background investigation)
5+ years of experience with functional and technical testing, as well as thorough understanding of fundamental testing concepts and processes
2+ years of experience in iterative development/test environments
Decision-making skills
Experience in analyzing business requirements to understand functionality and determine testability of the requirements
Experience writing, executing, maintaining, and reviewing test strategy, test plan, and test procedures.
Experience working with developers to review and validate flow diagrams, screens, windows, and reports.
Analytical and detail oriented
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong leadership skills
Proficiency in jira, alm and testing in web browsers (ie, chrome, firefox, safari)
Experience in determining loe on all assigned testing tasks to include required deliverables
Devops with continuous automation and delivery experience desired.
Development experience, script writing experience, or both is desired
Understands agile (scrum) methodologies
Problem escalation/corrective action analysis and recommendations
Ability to communicate technical issues at a level that is easily comprehensible to the audience
Ability to work well under pressure and within defined processes
Agile experience required
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Strong organizational and time-management skills
