Purpose and objectives
Sap america, incSeeks a sr, technical consultant to perform work remotely and various client sites nationwide to and deliver product usability, evaluation and support to product development teams in sub projects, including the analysis and investigation of applications/systems of moderate level of complexity.
Expectations and tasks
Responsible for delivery outcomes of assigned sub projects and work independently within given area of responsibilityProvide leadership, direction and consultative advice regarding best practice; lead creative and holistic thinking across diverse product releases, platforms, devices and brandsAbility to present design approach to a non-design audience (business, product and technology teams)Identify future opportunities, working as a key thought partner to your counterparts in services, partner ecosystem, and the clientUnderstand sap products and technologies to communicate to stakeholdersKeep check of design trends for different platformsUp to 70% travel required to various client sites nationwide.
Summary of job
The successful candidate will have a north american role, assigned to the sap cx na field services leader – this role will be assigned to client engagements and will primarily focus on the consultation and delivery functionality.
What you’ll do:
Build web components as per style guides specified by the ux team.
Implement new features by quickly and efficiently transforming mockups into fully functional user interface integrated with backend business application components.
Bridge the gap between user interface design and technical implementation
Work alongside client ux team to ensure style guide components are accurately represented across products
Collaborate with other development teams to develop a strategy that enables a great user experience
Continuously research new and best coding practices and convey them to the client and partner.
Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
Mandatory skills:
1-3 years experienced with angular framework
Experience using build tools, debugging tools (chromedevtools/firebug), version control systems (git/bitbucket)
Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and javascript frameworks, including jquery
Experience developing single page applications (spas) using javascript frameworks such as angular, react, or vue
Experience working with sass or other css preprocessors
Experience in test driven development
Experience in test frameworks like jasmine, karma, jest, mocha, nightwatch, etc.
Design, build and maintain high performance, reusable and reliable frontend code
Experience in building and consuming rest api
Experience in expressjs popular libraries like cors, email, etc.
Experience with popular node js utilities and orm libraries
Working with sql and nosql databases
Experience with json, xml
Familiarity with mvc, event-driven, object-oriented architecture
Proficient in fully responsive web applications
Knowledge of caching levels and memory dbs
• experience writing code that interacts with a large, complex backend through restful apis• is comfortable with agile development methodology
Preferred skills:
Sap activate methodology knowledge
Strong knowledge in sap commerce, specifically smartedit, wcms and occ.
Enthusiasm in writing scalable code
Strong knowledge of bootstrap, primeng, angular flex and material frameworks
Experience working in an agile team structure
Experience working in a consulting environment, with partners, clients, and/or alongside a ux team
Experience with browser testing and debuggingUnderstanding of all major browsers and the special considerations required for their various idiosyncrasies
Familiarity with sketch, invision, zeplin, adobe creative suite or similar tools
Education requirements:
Degree in computer science, design, or related field.
