Overview
The department of veterans affairs (va), office of information and technology (oit) community care product line (ccpl) supports the veterans health administration (vha) office of community care (occ)Va requires expertise and experience in scaled agile framework (safe) methods, product management, development, security, and operations (devsecops), database, architecture, development, testing, engineering, corrective and preventive/perfective operation of products to adhere to industry standards to operate and enhance the claims processing system on behalf of vaThis system receives invoices for payment from large contracted vendors providing healthcare to veteransSbg provides operations, maintenance and enhancement of the existing claims processing system, a customized product hosted in the fedramp-authorized amazon web service cloud.
All technical team members are required to have technical expertise in modern software development tools, cloud operations, va devsecops tool suite, as well as va toolsets currently in use.
Responsibilities:
This is a multiple role positionThe integration engineer serves as a release manger and an authority to operate (ato) specialistThe senior integration engineer must have experience in the creation of strategies and plans for integration of multiple it systems/subsystems into an operational unit, ensuring full functional and performance capabilities are retainedThe integration engineer must be experienced in introducing new hardware or software into a new or existing environment while minimizing disruption and mitigating risks.
Serves as a release managerThe release manager must have experience in management of individual releases of software, hardware or other system componentsMust have experience in coordinating with qa, development, packaging and hardware teamsThe release manager must have experience in documenting releases, risks and in maintaining the schedule of planned releases.
Position requirements
Bachelor`s degree in computer science, engineering, math or equivalent is required, with at least 10 years of related experienceEight (8) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.
Skilled in development, security, and operations (devsecops).
Skilled in agile developmentSupports component integration and system testingIntegrates applications with va` identity and access management (iam) system.
Ability to create, update, and maintain an ato package including all documents and controls in va`s emass system and remediation of any findings that require resolution.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a successful agency background check.
