Ready to become an integral part of stack’s product engineering team?! we have an amazing opportunity for a tech writer.
As the technical writer at stack, you will own the technical documentation for all stack productsYou’ll have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be able to communicate clearly and succinctly about complex topicsYou’ll collaborate with the stack product teams to learn the ins-and-outs of the products, and use this knowledge to create content that supports other internal stack teams and our customersYou’ll create written and simple video content that helps stack customers and internal teams be productive and learn at their own pace.
Role expectations
Assess the current state of all stack product documentation (help content, in-app tutorials, technical guides, etc)
Create, own and execute on a content development roadmap
Create reference materials, how-to guides, tutorials and technical resources for customers and internal teams
Write help articles and technical api-level documentation
Create simple videos to support help content
Collaborate with internal teams to create documentation that solves problems
Leverage application analytics to identify user confusion and create in-app guides to resolve
Qualifications
5+ years creating or contributing to documentation for a software product
Excellent communication skills (written and spoken)
Proficient with the microsoft office suite of applications
An understanding of the various types of documentation and what type to use and when
Ability to understand and accurately simplify complex concepts
Aptitude for teaching and helping others to grow
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and drive projects to completion
Strong attention to detail
