Part time chief financial officer/ chief investment officer, self-storage company
Storageblue, englewood cliffs, nj
Storageblue is in search of a part time chief financial/ investment officer, we are a rapidly growing self-storage/ real estate development companyWe are seeking a cfo/cioMust have real estate and real estate fund raising experienceYou will report directly to the ceo and lead business development and growth of assets under management and be responsible for raising money and securing & closing construction and permanent loans.
Essential duties and functions:
* meet with potential investors about investing in projects
* design and write business plans/ investment guidelines for new projects (should know powerpoint)
* manage underwriting and origination or purchase of all investments
* develop/improve processes to minimize investment risk
* report on investment activities
* act as a spokesperson for the company to banks and potential investors
* comply with the company`s investment criteria and objectives, strategic initiatives, and risk tolerances
* manage analyses required in the loan origination platform
* maintain banking relationships as well as relationships with outside investors
* must supply sample loan packages and or previously written business plans
* degree in finance or business
* 5 years identifying and sourcing investment opportunities, preferably in real estate
* 5 years with a family office, private investor, opportunity fund, lending institution, or real estate oriented investment organization
* experience in real estate investment with a progressive track record of management, financial analysis, and business development
* strong relationships across the real estate industry
* creative thinker focused on mitigating risk
* organized with strong work ethic and excellent attention to detail
