Job summary:
Safer space is seeking a social media specialist to grow and engage the social media communityTheir purpose is to ensure that every member has a sense of belonging and ownership and that the community creates value for its members.
Essential functions:
Assist in scheduling content on various social media platforms when required.
Create alt text/captions for social media posts when required.
Review and interpret social analytics to measure and guide the effectiveness of content and marketing strategies.
Respond to inquiries and engage with the community by commenting, liking, and reposting from other like-minded young people and brands.
Invite members and have a dialogue with safer space social media community.
Develop strong relationships, trust and loyalty by responding to comments, and direct messages using the voice and guidelines of safer space.
Respond to social media inquiries in a timely manner.
Create polls on social media to engage the audience and collect information when required.
Monitor, track and report on feedback and online reviews.
Preferred skills, abilities & qualifications:
Knowledge of social media and online marketing.
Understanding of social media analytics.
Ability to reach out and engage with the community.
Creative and proactive.
Ability to write clearly and concisely.
Hands on experience with social media management.
Up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies.
Understanding of digital marketing on youtube, pinterest, linkedin, twitter, and facebook.
Volunteering hours: 5-7 hours/week
Supervisory responsibilities
The position has no supervisory responsibilities but will report to the supervisor of content materials.
