What your job will be like
We are seeking a mid-career it database engineer/administrator to join our dynamic, multi-disciplinary mission support operations center teamYou will be supporting the daily operations which include solving database issues, designing and planning database solutions and/or systems, and coordinating the installation and configuration of database enhancements and upgradesYou will define database architecture specifications and diagram detailed database architecture schematics while maintaining technical expertise in all relevant database technologiesIn addition, you will evaluate and report on new database technologies/approaches and make recommendations on improvements to our capabilities.
On any given day you may be called on to:
Maintain, monitor and troubleshoot oracle, mongodb, sqlserver, and cassandra databases
Develop and maintain scripts using perl, java and shell scripting for installation and configurating database schemas
Maintain custom applications in oracle application express
Maintain and monitor database systems with oracle cloud control, splunk and solarwinds
Partner with customers to define, design and implement database solutions
Work with other it disciplines to engineer, design and deployment technical solutions
Qualifications we require
Bachelor`s degree in relevant subject (such as engineering, computer science, or information technology) with at least five years` relevant experience (or equivalent combination of education and/or experience)
Prior experience working in a classified environment
Active doe l-level security clearance or equivalent clearance from another government organization, and willing to get a polygraph examination.
