On any given day, you may be called on to:
Perform initial diagnostics on nonconformances, monitor area health, identify ways to increase yields, and mistake-proof processes.
Support and implement corrective or preventative actions.
Seek out and pursue opportunities for continuous improvement.
Support programs associated with automated production equipment.
Implement new manufacturing technologies or equipment.
Be involved with new process/equipment development and qualification.
Maintain written work instructions.
Ensure accurate training of operators.
Qualifications we require
Bachelor`s degree in a stem field plus 2 or more years of experience; or equivalent combination of experience/education.
Active us doe q-clearance or equivalent
Qualifications we desire
Experience in a production environment, materials science, procurement, and qualification of equipment
Bachelor`s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
Experience troubleshooting and maintaining production equipment.
Experience working in cleanroom environments.
Experience working in a fast-paced, high quality manufacturing environment.
Strong technical communication skills, both verbal and written via microsoft office.
Experience creating work instructions, operating procedures, and technical drawings.
Demonstrated ability to monitor process health and conduct failure analyses.
Experience with process improvement, including a lean six sigma green or black belt.
Commitment to a culture of safety and security.
Experience transitioning products and equipment from conceptual design to manufacturing.
Demonstrated ability to effectively work in a team environment that includes operators, technical staff, team leaders and other technologists.

The neutron tube value stream, (department 7562) is the sole source manufacturer of neutron tubes for our customers in the nuclear weapon enterpriseOur responsibilities include manufacturing, planning, configuration control, and the establishment and maintenance of schedules to assure that the need for neutron tubes is metWe establish and maintain a work environment that is safe and environmentally benign, foster respect for employees, promote open communication, and ensure that work results in quality products delivered on-time at promised cost or lessThe ntsa floor (7562-3) is responsible for transforming piece parts into built subassembliesOur responsibilities include cleaning, plating, brazing, welding, and inspecting subassemblies in preparation for use in built up neutron tubes.
