As the process development scientist, you will be responsible for acting as an enabler for implementation of our products and technologies in customers’ processes in early stage development and make sartorius the “partner of choice” to biotechnology companiesAs the holder of this position, you will implement early stage seeding strategy by defining cross-portfolio packages for processes of identified focus modality, support account managers in identifying new opportunities and align benefits to create value for the early stage customers.

What you will accomplish together with us
Execute the early-stage seeding strategy and execution model within the designated territory and modality segment
Build strong technical relationships with designated customer’s smes on early-stage gene therapy process aimed at driving maximal technology adoption and collaborate closely with commercial team to ensure success
Provide pd/scale-up consultancy to accelerate the molecule development lifecycle and support long-term partnership on a modality-relevant basis
Present customer value based on sartorius solutions that is relevant, digestible and practical for the customer and their kpi’s
Execute trials and demo activities at the customer’s site in support of the early stage opportunities with a goal towards commercialization, including hands-on trials in the lab, as well as by working closely with fas/ba team; keep ownership over the projects until process is robust.
Support process transfer wherever needed, regionally as well as globally
Transfer knowledge and best practices to commercial team/as team
Act as a process consultant for critical leads/opportunities to drive the adoption of sartorius technologies / platforms
As needed, support regulatory/process related activities to enhance market awareness and the company’s, the team’s as well as your own expert image
What will convince us
Bachelor`s degree in biochemistry, biomedical engineering, chemical engineering or equivalent in life sciences with 3 years of experience in biopharmaceutical process development, scale-up, process characterization, technology transfer, scale-up or production or master`s degree or above with no experience required.
Understand biologics drug development and application process
Have broad theoretical knowledge in process development, pilot and production scales complemented with in depth and practical experience in process development
Proven skills of relevant process unit operations in cgmp bioprocessing with related regulatory knowledge
Broad (investigational) new drug application and process development knowledge based on proven practical experience
Excellent skills in communicating and presenting technical added values
Excellent teamwork skills and proven ability to also work with cross-functional teams without formal authority; takes strong ownership over projects, yet, can execute collaboratively
Excellent spoken and written skills in english
Self-motivated and ambitious
Can inspire business sense, commercial aptitude preferred
Comfortable with change and desirous of continuous improvement
Entrepreneurial approach
