Scott`s cheap flights is looking for a creative and engaging social media specialist as an early member of our social team.
Social media should be funWe believe audiences see right through brands who go through the motions because they were told they should be on social mediaInstead, we want our community to know that we love showing up on social.
The social media specialist should not be intimidated by hundreds of thousands of eyes on themIf you live to create viral content, excited to engage our community in a personal and effective way, and can balance a laser focus on driving business goals, this role could be a great fit for you.
In the short term, you will:
Stay up to date with current social media trends, apps, and tools
Collaborate with our social media manager around new ideas, campaigns, and opportunities for social media
Develop fun, interesting, and engaging short form videos (think tiktok & ig reels) and posts that support our overall content strategy
Engage with scott`s cheap flights members to personally connect with our community
Establish internal relationships cross-functionally to gather information and inspiration for content
Review post analytics to inform and refine the types of content you are sharing
Contribute to the overall mission of scott`s cheap flights by drawing in new members every day through your creative work
In the long term, you will:
Become a key voice and contributor to the overall social media strategy
Develop and nurture key internal and external relationships to keep a constant fresh loop of ideas, inspiration, and support
Identify and test emerging social media channels
What you know:
2+ years working in social media marketing.
You know how to market a product or service using social media platforms like tiktok, instagram, twitter, and facebook.
You have a proven track record of utilizing social media to drive business goals.
You can easily multitask across multiple high-priority projects.
You`re a quick upstart with new technology and apps.
You have great presence on camera as a fun and fantastic communicator.
You are never afraid to challenge the status quo in order to create an interesting brand voice.
You think about inclusivity and accessibility in everything you do.
You really understand internet culture and what`s happening in the world of social mediaWhat audio is trending on tiktok this week? what`s a twitter thread that made you laugh recently? what type of media is most effective on instagram right now? be prepared to nerd out about all things social with us!
Preferred:
You have experience working in a remote environment and are proficient across many technologies.
You have worked in the travel industry or would enjoy learning more about it so that we continue to share accurate, relevant, and interesting information with our followers.
