Role responsibilities
In this role as a strategy and corporate development consultant, reporting to the vp of strategy and corporate development, you will be responsible for utilizing data, analytics, and financial modeling to inform our strategic focus areas and investments as a companyYou will be responsible for completing complex modeling to assess, evaluate and prioritize strategic investments tied to our corporate strategy and corporate development initiativesThe key initiatives will range from data driven analysis for long term strategic planning, m&a and divestiture opportunities, analysis in support of build/buy/partner decisions and associated pro forma views across the entirety of these initiativesYou will partner closely with executives across the business to support stakeholder narratives and market analysis for board of directors, investor relations and analyst presentations as well as support leadership with the necessary content and material that informed the recommendations and decisionsThis is a high visibility/high impact role where you will have the opportunity to create and present impactful presentations backed in data driven analysis to the executive leadership team and ceo.
Utilize a deep level of modeling to assess strategic opportunities across the company in support of the corporate strategy.
Support the executive leadership team by building pro-forma analysis for potential strategic initiatives.
Research multiple sources for company, industry, and market information; assist in sourcing and evaluation of organic and inorganic opportunities
Develop complex valuation and financial analyses (dcf, market multiples assessment, financial statement analysis, investment return, impact to secureworks financials, etc.) to support findings and recommendations
Proactively assess strategic opportunities in adjacent markets with market and financial analysis and business cases to support recommendations.
Minimum requirements
Minimum 3 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital or top-tier management consulting.
Mba or relevant graduate degree or similar academic / professional experience
Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a technology related field or consulting/researching for technology-based companies.
Fluent in finance and all aspects of pro-forma analysis’
Preferred skills
Experience within the saas domain via direct experience working at a saas based company or experience supporting/researching/covering saas based companies.
Familiarity with m&a valuation analytics
Strong skills utilizing powerpoint and applications such as tableau, excel, etcTo create impactful presentations and strategic narratives backed in data driven analysis
