Job summary:
The srGlobal benefits analyst provides overall support for program development, implementation, communications and administration of global benefits for semtech including health & welfare, retirement, and leave managementThis position provides assistance on various employee benefit plans, as well as recommends and implements approved changes to new plansHe/she participates in the analysis to optimize the quality, effectiveness and cost of overall wellbeing for the employees and semtech.
Responsibilities:
Assist with the design and implementation of global benefits and governance framework, taking into account consistencies between the different locations; and build processes in accordance with governance framework
Work with third party consultants to provide analysis and assess market competitiveness of all plans annually
Support the administration for all employee benefits programs such as retirement plans; health care, term life insurance, short/long term disability, accidental death, and wellness programs
Assist in the development of benefit education programs designed to increase engagement and enhance the value of new and existing benefit programs
Participate in the development of company cost information for new plans and make recommendations concerning cost sharing between employer and employee
Maintain understanding of global benefits landscape and provide expertise in both technical aspects of benefit plan administration and market trends
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor`s degree plus a minimum of 7+ years of experience
Problem solving and critical thinking: approach problem-solving from an evidence-based perspective, using sound reasoning and recognizing how emotion affects choices and implementation with the keen ability to diagnose and successfully handle organizational development issues
Analytical skills: comfort with data and using data to provide insights to help advise and influence business decisions
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; be an articulate and persuasive communicator
Ability to work effectively in a global team environment
Good understanding of global benefit practices
