Full job description
Sentinel safety group is currently expanding our team of health, safety & environmental (hse) consultants in central indianaIn this role as hse consultant you will be responsible for providing occupational safety, industrial hygiene and environmental services to our manufacturing client base.

Critical skills and qualifications desired:
Must have a minimum of 5 years of health, safety and environmental (hse) experience in a manufacturing environment.
Ohst, asp, csp, cih, cit, or chmm certifications a plus but not required.
A bachelors and/or masters in safety, ih or a related field preferred or 10 or more years relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
Must be self driven and highly motivated with ability to effectively and efficiently work with minimal supervision in a home-based office environment.
Must be proficient in microsoft office applications.
Must possess exceptional attention to detail and time management skills.
Excellent presenter, trainer and communicator.
Must have have a minimum of 3 years of direct and hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment in the following areas: lockout/tagout procedure development, job safety analysis, and confined space assessment and program implementation.
Must have a reliable car and a valid drivers license with ability to travel, including overnight stays up to 50%.
Must be able to pass initial and random drug screens as well as a respirator physical.
The nature of work requires: 1) ability to walk/stand on concrete and uneven surfaces for up to 10 hours per day, 2) climb stairs and ladders, 3) exposure to heights/walking on open grating, and 4) exposure to high noise and temperature extremes.
Sentinel safety group operates as a `remote` and `virtual office` work environmentHowever, the nature of our work requires frequent client visits and therefore each consultant must live in close proximity to our client baseTherefore successful candidates will need to reside or be willing to relocate to within 75 miles of indianapolis (in), cincinnati (oh), or louisville (ky)Relocation assistance is not offered.
