Summary:
We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated, and professional outside sales representative to develop new customer relationships within the millwork, storefront, glass and glazing, architectural and ornamental metal industriesCandidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and is proficient in common computer programs to include outlook, microsoft word, and excelThis person must demonstrate a proven track record of capitalizing on opportunities within the metal and commercial construction industries.
Essential position functions:
Identify 30 viable accounts to be developed within shamrock’s core business structure and within the industries mentioned above.
Develop strong business relationships with individuals from key accounts.
Identify metal projects for the bidding process and secure project awards.
Work with estimators, detailers, shop foreman as well as operations manager through the proposal process.
Strong follow up to close on all proposals and estimates.
Assist with the development of marketing materials.
Provide the estimating team with all relevant information including sales information, drawings, and finish specifications.
Participate in sales meetings for review of progress of open jobs and estimates.
Remote position; travel as required to fulfill company and customer needs.
Qualifications / experience:
Qualified candidates will possess a minimum of 5 years’ experience in architectural and ornamental fabricated metal sales in the construction industry.
A bachelor’s or associate’s degree in marketing or business management or equivalent experience is preferred.
Ability to work under time sensitive pressure and deadlines.
Ability to read drawings and understand finish specifications.
Ability to manage priorities throughout the entire process of large estimating projects.
Working knowledge of architectural and ornamental metal fabrication.
Strong product knowledge in hot-rolled carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and red metals.
Demonstrated ability to work productively and professionally within a team environment as well as independently.
