Caroo is looking for a director of hr to join our people team and provide a variety of hr services across our growing organizationThe director will play an integral role in ensuring that caroo’s people operations and policies are scalable and advance our team’s mission to provide best-in-class support, tools, and resources for our employees at every stage of their experienceThis is a unique opportunity with tremendous potential to be an influential member of the team that is building innovative people operations at a company that is on the leading edge of employee care.
You will be a trusted resource for leaders and employees across the business, ensuring that all of caroo’s people decisions balance the needs of the organization and our employees, so excellent verbal and written communication skills and solid business acumen are essentialYou will help to manage our relationships with our hr vendors and benefit brokers, oversee payroll, and drive the ongoing optimization of our hris, so you must be organized and detail-orientedImportantly, you love everything hr and culture and are eager to implement innovative solutions to caroo’s hr needs.

What you`ll do:
People strategy: provides superior hr support, coaching and advice to employees, managers and leaders in all areas of hr and people decisionsCollaborates with leadership to drive innovative hr programs and policies that care for the whole human
People operations, benefits & payroll: own the administration and optimization of our hrisOversee the administration of payroll and handle all questions regarding company policies, benefits, and leaves and accommodations programs
Performance management: responsible for supporting effective performance management through managing and training on the performance review process, compensation review and promotion philosophy
Career development: develop and implement programs that provide ongoing learning and development opportunities, and foster a culture of continuous feedback and improvement
Compliance: ensures the organization is compliant with all applicable employment lawsManage hr audits and filings related to eeo-1 reporting and benefits compliance.
Diversity, equity & inclusion: champion dei across the organization; build a diverse team, foster an inclusive culture through recruiting, training, policies
What you bring to caroo:
Leadership experience within a people operations or hr function in a high-growth or dynamic environment
A passion for and ability to seamlessly maneuver between the tactical and strategic elements of hr and people operations
Hands-on experience with people operations—from administration of benefits to onboarding to employee relations
Experience implementing hr tools and practices such as performance management, learning & development or training
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills, and experience supporting employees at all levels of the organization
Strong project management and collaboration skills with a proven ability to balance shifting priorities and meet challenging deadlines.
You are a resourceful and curious team player, and are excited about making a meaningful impact on our dynamic and growing organization.
Nice to haves:
Phr, ca-phr or shrm-cp certification a plus
Experience working with hr platforms - ideally, adp wfn, rippling, cultureamp, and lever
