Role overview
Solidprofessor is looking for a mid-level software qa engineer with experience testing enterprise software in a team environment.
As a mid-level qa engineer, you’ll be a critical part of our product teamYou’ll collaborate closely with our product definition and engineering groups to ensure we’re delivering expected outcomesYou’ll be a contributor in all qa activities including writing and running manual and automated testsYou’ll participate in the team’s agile workflows to ensure defects are triaged and resolved effectively based on test resultsWe’ll also look to you to establish workflows and best practices for this newly established qa teamIf you’re a qa professional looking to make an impact on a growing team, we’d love to meet you!

Responsibilities
Ensure development output satisfies requirements
Identify defects
Help establish qa-mindful team standards
Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues
Learn and implement new technologies and help evolve existing ones
Participate constructively in code reviews and thumbs up/down work
Provide accurate estimates and timelines for your tasks
Be methodical and organized in your workA clean workspace and an organized mind are critical ingredients to writing good code.
Technical must haves:
5+ years working as a qa engineer conducting manual and automated testing of web applications and apis, with experience in both back end and front end testing
3+ years of experience writing detailed jira tickets and contributing to established qa processes.
3+ years working in agile processes
Basic sql skills – to validate some of our backend information, you’ll be best served by being able to navigate our database
The ability to read the code for unit tests that devs write – you don’t need to produce code in this role, but you’ll need to be able to read the unit tests your developers write to validate that they are doing what they say they’re doing.
2+ years of cross browser testing experience
Have experience with most of the following:
Phpunit
Selenium
Sonarqube
Postman
Browserstack
